Smart solutions for energy networks at WindEnergy Hamburg

24.09.2018 - 10:00 (CET)

HUBER+SUHNER's innovative solutions across fiber-optics, radio-frequency and low-frequency will be on display.

Leading international manufacturer of applications and solutions for optical and electrical connectivity, HUBER+SUHNER, is set to demonstrate its portfolio of smart energy solutions at WindEnergy Hamburg, taking place September 25-28, 2018.

The global Swiss-based company will be exhibiting its contemporary solutions and systems which perfectly meet the demanding requirements of the energy industry. This year, the company will focus on robust, customized and easy to install applications, showcasing its expertise across three key segments; fiber-optics, radio-frequency and low-frequency. Its innovative solutions are combined into this unique portfolio to serve the generation, transmission and distribution side of power grids globally.

“Ensuring a reliable and adequate energy supply, while working with the complexity of future network layouts, arguably makes the process of combining renewable and conventional power one of the greatest challenges of the 21st century,” said Thomas Ritz, Head of Global Market Management at HUBER+SUHNER. “This is where the expertise and skills of HUBER+SUHNER comes into play. Our distinct understanding of the specific requirements of this industry, coupled with a focus on applications in wind power generation, ensures that we are always improving our portfolio to meet the challenging and growing demands of the market.”

Highlights of its portfolio includes the Q-ODC connector family. Featuring the most robust design in the smallest package, the Q-ODC provides the highest fiber-density in its class, allowing the customer to connect up to 12 or 24 fibers in one single mating step.

Also on display will be the highly-modular and efficient Masterline Ultimate cabling system. Developed to build customized solutions for harsh environmental conditions, the Masterline cabling system connects active equipment such as SCADA-controllers and other platform elements with fiber-optic jumpers, for a simple, fast and secure installation. The system can also support up to 12 or 24 individual active service components.

HUBER+SUHNER offers connectivity and multiplexing solutions to connect active elements measuring or distributing data to manage and control todays power grids independently if the application is near power generation or in the transmission and distribution grids. The company offers the most comprehensive and modular products for wind power generators, windfarms, conventional power plants or any data transmission within the power distribution grid.

Mr Ritz added: “The international hub for the global wind power industry, the bi-annual WindEnergy event in Hamburg is the perfect setting for us to present our latest solutions for energy networks on a professional and international platform. We look forward to discussing the latest trends and technologies alongside our industry leading solutions at this year’s event.”

WindEnergy visitors can find HUBER+SUHNER at Hall B6, booth 216, Hamburg Messe, Hamburg 25-28 September 2018.
